Permanent exhibition space Plexus Art Gallery

A space for expression and resonance.

Since January 2025, Catherine de Saugy is honored to have her personal space at PLEXUS Gallery in Clarens-Montreux. There, she chooses and presents her recent creations and those that resonate with this somewhat magical and mysterious place that enchants visitors and collectors.

Catherine de Saugy is driven by curiosity and a boundless imagination. She draws or paints fluid, moving forms, abstract windows through which to soar. She has developed a unique technique by fusing her painting with masterful graphic design using Adobe and Corel Paint, superimposing shapes, architecture and movement. The final and unique signed artworks is giclee on a back of a very fine and thin Plexiglas panel.  Her immediately recognizable contemporary art, transcended by her love of music and a clear personal style appears musical in its rhythms and drive. Beyond the energy it expresses, it invites meditation.

She has over one hundred collectors, and since the beginning of her professional career, she has received awards for her work: ARTDEX USA 1995, Member of Professional Artists of North America, Paris 1996, Silver Medal of the Academy of Arts, Sciences, and Letters, Monte-Carlo 2000, Selected for the Prince Pierre of Monaco Prize, Leipzig D. PALM AWARD 2011: Certificate of Excellence for "outstanding accomplishment in the arts."

Her works have been exhibited internationally, and decorators and entrepreneurs have called upon her innate sense of space to create unique and personalized Panoramas art work. Her important frescoes adorn banks, hospitals, clinics, homes and offices in Switzerland, the United States and Latin America.

Artistic universe

Between abstraction and emotion, Catherine de Saugy’s work explores light, matter, and movement

Contemporary series

Catherine de Saugy’s major series — Waves, Musical Waves, Fragments of Light — explore fluidity and movement through abstract compositions on paper.

Works on paper

Paper, a fragile and living support, becomes the heart of a poetic inquiry into transparency and matter. Each work reveals an intimate vibration, between breath and silence.

Abstraction and movement

Painting becomes a wave, a visual resonance. Color, gesture, and light respond to one another to create compositions balanced between energy and contemplation.
