“1991 — Citizen of the World. Hardly had I begun painting when I was fortunate enough to be exhibited in Miami, then commissioned for mural works from 1992 onward in Europe and the USA, and later in Guatemala and El Salvador, 1993–1996.

Here, then, is my journey through fairs and exhibition venues, up to the high point that was my retrospective in November 2018 at Galerie Plexus–Villa Murillo in Clarens–Montreux. A retrospective in one’s lifetime is an indescribable joy, a grand crescendo on the life already lived… and a major challenge. What to say afterward?

I hate being told what I’ve already understood. ‘Impatience! insubordination, etc.’ my teachers used to underline; perhaps… But above all a thirst to move forward, to learn, to understand better. Covid and reflection became entwined, and then my hand found, on its own, an unexpected, fluid outcome… my cosmic calligraphy.”
